Ah well, that’s that then. Started really badly, got herself level and looked to have the momentum, then had the physio on. Well beaten in the end.
Too much pressure on her because of two good weeks a couple of years ago. It's a shame she's more injury prone at the start of her career than Andy Murray at the end of his.
Lulu Sun. Incredible performance. Hitting so many winners from mid court. An amazing display of hard punchy tennis. Cool as ice. She is definitely one to watch. Outstanding.
No, think she too injury prone, or thinks she has injuries, think she is just living on her one win, hope i am wrong
I'd be inclined to agree. She's offered nothing since. That said, she didn't do anything before. Hence the overnight fame. She's made her money. Good luck to her.
So to summarise a young lass who had surgery on both wrists and an ankle last year should risk aggravating a wrist injury to play a farewell game with a guy who had pulled out of the singles and already lost in the mens doubles. She hasn't won many games since the US open because she hasnt played many, maybe she is made of biscuit in which case it makes even more sense to pull out of a match that does nothing to advance her career As for the Olympic jibe - she is trying to manage her fragile body - its her choice Wonder if she would have got as much stick if she had been a young white male instead of a woman with an ethnic background. I guess not
Not big on the nuances of tennis but there seems to be more one hit wonders in that sport than any other. I mean people winning tournaments then nothing else. No gradual decline or anything.
I can't think why the Daily Mail would be so opposed to a young, female, mixed-heritage immigrant. Oh wait.
Anybody that wins the us open without losing a set is no flash in the pan.like you say injuries have set her back.
She seemed to go to pot not so long after she we won the US Open. Strangely; her form dipped after she replaced her coach. She then replaced the second coach a few months down the line. I daresay all this chopping and changing will have brought in different training regimes/approaches etc
So much for the Navaro predictions! First Italian woman in the semi finals at Wimbledon, well done Jasmine!
