totally agree Tarntyke. Every year we get an announcement re pitch invasion at the end of the last match of the season. Has never made the slightest impact. Good luck to the fans!
I don't think there's anything wrong with it, so long as they go back off so the lads can come back out. It's a chance for kids to get a bit of their favorite players kit...
81 was good when we beat Rotherham last match in old division 3 and then players through kit from press box. Believe we beat Shrewsbury 4 nil in first game of new season. Im sure that team would have got in the then First Division with sky money.
I personally don't have a problem with it. It's a bit of a lower league thing I think, but if younger fans want to have fun running on at the end, I dont see the problem. Key is though, get off sharpish and DO NOT run back on when players come out. Then everyone is happy. The hysterical reaction from some stewards/police annoys me though, where 50 will be let past then a smaller kid will get grabbed, thrown to the ground and dragged out. Either try to stop everyone, or be fair with the way you handle the situation.
Dont see why they cant do that now, up the old tunnel end of game and to be introduced one by one up in the boxes like the old days then the kids (young and old) can run around as much as they like ont pitch, save all that farting about trying to remove em.
