Wouldn't surprise me if gyms upped their prices with people using them to shower daily.

They'll have to up their prices anyway. Their energy usage will be through the roof from October and then January.

The larger chains might have some protection but the smaller more independent gyms will be staring at close to £50k a year increased costs.

Smokeless fuel is exempt from this, which is what the Aldi stuff is.

Only me who thinks something has to give. No way they will make profits because people can't afford to pay it. Not because they won't. They can't and simply impossible.

Teresa May didn’t create OFGEM, that’s been around for over twenty years and the gas and electricity regulators (which were merged to form it) were around a long time before that

There's going to be some serious civil unrest in this country. I see that Truss said yesterday that the government won't provide any additional direct help for those struggling with the energy bills but they are looking at tax cuts. How can we be in such a state where lives are going to be lost. Its an absolute ******* disgrace.

They are trialling a bus run on hydrogen in Dublin at the moment. The manufacturer, think it might be VW, said it would do 1600 miles on one tank or whatever they store it in. My brother in law was talking to one of the trial inspectors who said the manufacturer was lying through their teeth.
It had already done 1600 miles and was still half full!

Just clearing stock, not advertised online, it's all gone in Midlands region, guessing it'll be the same up there.

A tell you one thing that a lot of people have potentially overlooked, aside from struggling to pay these overly Inflated bills but the damage that it’s going to cause in people’s homes is quite scary, poorly heated homes in uninsualted properties is a major breeding ground for condensation damp which leads to black mould creating a further health risk.......after spending a significant time in this particular sector I’ve seen what happens in homes that are poorly Insulated and poorly heated, I honestly fear for this country this winter. The sooner this incompetent team of arseholes realise that there positions are there to benefit the people of the country and not there wallets the better, sadly I think there so far detached from reality that things will get a whole lot worse before we start to see any light at the end of the tunnel

It was meant jokingly. Seemingly they were trying not to overstate the figures.
It's all third hand though but the trial does seem to be going extremely well.

Truss is a complete waste of space to think anyone thinking she will help people this winter with fuel bills is living in cloud cuckoo land, she's not worth a blow down the ragman's trumpet.

The really disconcerting thing with all this for me is that Liz Truss, who is almost certain to be the next PM, even now simply hasn’t grasped the enormity of the problems we are all collectively facing in this country.
It’s over a decades worth of Tory cockups which have left this country so vulnerable and all she proposes is even more hard line Toryism.

Been looking into solar panel costs for our house and i can't see any way to make them pay within the next 17 years. I also can't find anywhere that gives any help towards costs if you're on even an average wage. Think I'll leave it
