    No, I’m sure that happens to every international team at some point. That’s how Arsenal & Italian teams played in the early 90s. It was a waste of entertainment then & is now. at least the Reds are never boring. Apart from the Brum & Derby games. They weren’t all that.

    It does make you crave for the big hoof.

    Anyway, Barnsley players past and present wrote the story of that game by giving away both goals and scoring the winner.

    So our attacking prowess or lack of played no part at all ?
    I was more concerned about the lack of an attempt on the Polish goal tbh , after all that’s all the pre match hype focused on .
    But hey ho they were ineffective so let’s round on a players one mistake even though countless possession by our forward line was so easily surrendered and to the point when an England player finally got in a position to make a cross he had to double back as there wasn’t a colleague within thirty yards of the Polish goal .

    Imo we are a 3rd tier nation at best, I didn't watch it so can't make a judgement on the performance, its got to a stage with me and England that I don't care if we win or lose ( of course I want us to win btw) but equally I don't get pi55ed off if we lose at all, its all a bit meh.

    I enjoyed England's last world Cup but I've a feeling the Euros won't be as enjoyable. Boring against Albania and boring again tonight, despite 5 goals.

    In all 3 recent games we've won, but we've demonstrated nothing more than an ability to qualify for tournaments that we will inevitably get meekly elbowed out of when it gets to the business end.
