Another slow performance. I would say let’s hope the second half is better but I’ve been saying that since after the first half an hour of the tournament.
They surely cannot come out 2nd half without a rocket up them and an increase in pace and intensity. Surely.
‘International class’ is a bit flawed. Most of these teams are weaker than what they play at club level. He’s happy to give chances to Eze & Guehi of Palace but hasn’t given Mitchell a chance who’s played well in the same side.
Best we've played so far in the tournament and half way to another clean sheet. Playing a team parking the bus will make you look poor. Once we get to the knock out stage playing other teams who fancy their chances, we will look better.
Another superb performance this, nice easy on the eye pass and move football, other teams will be absolutely bricking it at the thought of facing us.
The use of a right footed left back results in Foden having no service down the left flank. So he comes in field searching for the ball, their right back shadows him leaving two centre halves to double up on Kane forcing him further up the pitch dragging their entire back line with him. We could, yet, win this game 4-0, possibly win the entire tournament. But our team contains some of Europe’s finest talent and Southgate is crushing it. Some will disagree. But picture this bunch with, for example, Klopp organising them. I watched Croatia nearly get eliminated, last night, but saw a togetherness, in their team that would put our lot to shame. This is my first public criticism of Southgate but that man, alone, has crushed our spirit.
Both happy to scrape a point or narrowly snatch a goal after boring everyone to death. Both a product of the fa coaching system
Better than a bloke who probably won't play or be anywhere fit enough, or someone whose left foot is for standing on. They've got to start somewhere.
Yet again, a crap performance. Not having a natural left-footed left back is detrimental to the team, but the overall standard of performance is properly just shyt, as Gary Lineker so eloquently put the other day.
Not really...Henry's out with an ACl injury, Doughty is really a championship player...Mitchell..Well possibly.
