At least Downing isn't in the 1-11. Bit harsh on some of the 12-23. Baines is a fair swap for Cole, Lescott should be in before JFeckinT, Parker is our best DM, Jagielka should also be in before JFeckinT. I hope the Ox gets a good go too.

I think Carrick is a better player but he's been dicked about too much in the past. Much like Paul Robinsom who's ten times better than Robert Green.

Carrick certainly should have played more than he has.

you arent serious are you? he is shocking, he passes a ball sideways and backward and occasionally plays a 5 yard pass forward, he doesnt tackle and his movement takes places inside a 10 by 10 yard square

he is as bad as carrick, neither should have more than 20 caps, same applies to downing and milner.

Agree about Downing and Milner, shows how poor we are if they are getting caps. I mean Downing FFS.

adam johnson should be in the squad, but he chased the money at man city so its his own fault, if he played every week he would be in the england eleven every game

Best winger we have got for beating a man and producing something. He should have been in the team for the last 2 years. He needs to move on from City and get some PL games. He could be a great asset for England, he would be in my team.

all the young english talent just trade games for a juicy contract, look at Scott Parker he left charlton for romans millions, he could have been an england regular 6 years ago

I am sure England is way at the back of the mind for most modern footballers when it comes to contract decisions. It just doesn't mean that much anymore. For all his faults Beckham at least gave it his all for his country (although he was getting the great contracts too), he would still be flying all over the world to play for England now if he was picked, I notice he has never officially retired from international football, always the hope of being selected again, I wish we had more with his attitude towards the national team.

good point, i wish a lot of the younger players went abroad and learnt their trade playing on foreign soil, better than getting pissed in london with 40k in your pocket and 2 slappers after a kiss and tell but unfortunately they prefer the lifestyle the latter brings

I'd rather STILL pick Beckham now, than bloody Downing or Milner.
