Lol it shouls be Johnson Hes shocking. Downings had a good year, and last year was a very good season for him. Richards just hasnt played, he cant be picked when hes not played.
Hes played wide, hes been quite unlucky this season although its not been the best season off the pitch for Liverpool. When a players bought for that amount they have to have shown the ability and talent. He did at villa. Villa for some reasom have shown him on there current primo video. Hes been unlucky in the way hitting the post with shots ect.
LOL. Johnson is twice the player Downing is, only a fool would argue that, oh hang on.... Johnson - 6 goals, 5 assists (and hasn't been used that much by the CHAMPIONS) Downing - I will let you tell me his stats for last season Richards hasn't played much, neither has Defoe, so why has he been picked, surely he is in the Hemsy 'can't be picked' camp?
Adam Johnson has a Premier League winner's medal. By your own arguments he can't be ****. I'm sad he's not getting much game time at City, I remember him ripping us apart for Boro in a preseason game when he was about 16. Granted it was only preseason but it was one of the best individual performances I've seen at Oakwell.
Twice the player Johnson will be sold for max 5M, another was sold for 15/20M less than 12 month ago. Says it all interm of ability.
No it says it all about Liverpool paying over the odds for players. £35m for Carroll, £20m for Henderson, £20m for Downing. Proper mugged off. Can you tell me the lotto numbers for the weekend seeing as you have a crystal ball? You are comparing something that has happened as fact with something that hasn't happened. You are a fruit loop.
I'm pretty sure Liverpool would have paid £10m for a bag of pork scratchings last summer. I know you love your stats, so how can a winger with 0 goals, 0 assists and a league cup medal be worth more than one who has 6 goals 5 assists and a league medal?
You do like to make a show of yourself don't you, each to their own I suppose. Off to bed now, up for work. And remember, great players win the big prizes.
Yes Dowing had a great year, his only contribution was getting Kenny the peddler, ive never rated Dowing Villa gambled on him and it didn't pay off and they doubled their money on him when Kenny came knocking. I'd rather give DEETEE a place on the plane in front of Stuart F.ucking Dowing.
You get more sense out of a bag of malteasers. Boro let downing go because of the emergence of a certain winger now at man city....
I'd have taken Richards over Glen Johnson Jagielka over Jones Carrick over Barry Joe Cole over Downing (had a brilliant season in France by all accounts) Lennon over Walcott Crouch over Carroll Campbell over Welbeck but that's just me It seems form doesn't count for anything again, it's gone back to reputation. I mean the majority of the squad play for England's 6 biggest teams, (Arsenal, Man U, Man C, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool), despite half of them not having a particularly good season, Liverpool springs to mind, yet 3 of their most dissapointing players have been selected. Glad Oxlade-Chamberlin hasn't been overlooked though.
