Dammit only 113 to win. I should go though. First time I will have seen England play, even if it’s all over in a couple of hours, got to be worth it on a free ticket. Great that Root is still in as well.
I see the weather looks a bit dodgy in the morning so I’ll see how it looks before getting the train to Burley

If you sign up for a free ticket and don’t turn up you’re a bit of a knob imo.

Not really personal, more just a blanket assessment. If a hypothetical person signs up for a ticket and doesn't use it, thus denying somebody else the opportunity to attend, then I'd say that makes this hypothetical person a bit of a knob.

Exactly . It’s a short hop on the train for me but I still have to assess whether it’s worth the hassle for:

    a. A possible long wait for play because rain is forecast.
    b. A quick end to the match with only 113 needed. Trent Bridge was a fantastic last day. I suspect the Kiwis have already written this one off

I had queue number in the 28,000's with just under 15k in front of me when I logged on at 18:20.

Very surprised to be able to get tickets at 21:35 when my number came up!

Well that’s a surprise well done I was listening to Test Match Special whilst driving back from Wombwell this afternoon and they said it was sold out well before the end of play

It was a bit odd. If you selected 'Best Seats Available', nothing showed up. If you chose to choose your own seats there were a few sections of the stadium where there was still availability to choose individual seats.

Good job I'm a persevering type who tries all the options!

Had to do it! Leaden skies above and the wicket is covered again. Could be a long day

Arf arf! It was fun watching Broady and the lads playing head tennis for a while, and Rooty smashing balls into a net. But the field is now deserted and no indication of the covers coming off any time soon
