Another day dawn's and we live for t'morra, roll on the Euro's, but in the meantime Cum on you Reeeeeds.
I hate conspiracy theories with a vengeance but nevertheless I have had a suspicion since our opening game that the powers that be intended to do whatever they could to prevent England getting any where near the final. The one VAR decision that went our way was so blatant they simply had to give it else they it have completely lost credibility. The choice of a South American ref for the only all European quarter final also seems more than just a little suspect to me. Yes Kane missed the penalty but it shouldn’t have come down to that.
Sadly the fact you don't even give a mention to Saka in your list of 'stand outs' sugegst you are either trolling, didn't watch the game or know absolutely nothing about football. This is also the second time you singled me out for specific mention on this site in spite of the fact that you are in a very small minority regarding your opinion and many have basically said or implied the same as me that you are mistaken. I see you choose to ignore the clear cut evidence that, contrary to your opinion, that England were NOT negative. The fact that the French goalkeeper was considered to be the French's MOTM by French commentators reinforces the statistical evidence. As regards..'.opinions'. Opinions will have some kind of link to the basis for the opinion, the facts and procedures used to derive the opinion. (you have derived an opinion totally ignoring the facts). Guesses, like an opinion, will have links to the basis for the guess, however the facts in evidence may be much less substantial and many times guesses are actually based on opinions rather than facts. e.g............. "I haven't seen the French press yet but they will be critical of the team for not imposing themselves" That is a guess!!
Rumours are that on the Ref committee for selecting officials for knockout stages it was a Qatar and Brazilian who were main influencers. Even if there is no truth in that a Brazilian wouldn’t have been able to officiate Brazil and Argentina so would only leave ours or Morocco game.
Spot on and just like in rugby union the French played the ref.....they saw what what he was letting go and exploited it....poor young Saka got nothing. I suppose you could call it game management. I think the French absolutely know they have got away with one.
1, we were amongst the most critical the choice of Qatar for the tournament 2, we were openly critical of fifa for allowing the Qatar royal family to back track on the sale of alcohol. 3, we were openly critical of fifa for clamping down on gay rights protests 4, we have constantly drawn attention to the appalling way in which migrant workers are treated in Qatar If you asked the Qatar royal family to list the 32 participating countries in order of who they would like to win the cup in their country England would be at the bottom.
Saka had a fantastic game. He was way more effective than Mbappe who Walker had sewn up pretty well all night.
My last word on this. The fact is France won, I felt on the balance of the game I watched, they just edged it. Lots of analytics may show that England lead on lots of areas, that's true but in Spain v Morocco, they too led on all the statistical analysis, again lost. As I am a French supporter and have french family, I really don't give a **** what people think of my view of the game. IT'S ONLY A GAME, NOTHING MORE. THERE ARE MORE SERIOUS THINGS TO GET WORKED UP ABOUT.
