    Only thing now assuming Bangladesh lose against India they'll only be playing for pride against Pakistan. I think there's a good chance we'll lose against New Zealand.

    We look a different team when we bat first...and Roy makes a big difference of course. We've lost the three games chasing.

    Totally agree. Lose the toss and New Zealand bat and that could be it. The toss of a coin. I think our mentality is questionable.

    For me the issue is Root’s strike rate. Don’t get me wrong he’s up there as being best batsmen around but when it comes to ODI’s, strike rate has to be above 100 and he just slows the run rate down which puts pressure on the more aggressive guys to get the 4s and 6s resulting in them giving their wicket away cheaply.

    I see where you're coming from but Root can bat. I'd rather see him out there. You don't score runs back in the pavilion,

    On the other hand, if he anchors the innings at one end, then he can rotate strike and allow the more explosive batters to hit out. And he has scored over 100 more than the next highest England player.
