Always the biggest compliment when I was younger watching Juve on Channel 4. Watch em go 1 up and then went into a Yorkshire pudding coma. Usually a 2-0 win after i woke up.
That’s it for me. I will watch the games with a passing interest and it will be nice if England win. But I would genuinely rather see Barnsley win a dead rubber match at the end of a season than England win a tournament.
I really enjoyed that. Got caught in the moment and a bit emotional when they played Champagne Supernova. If you're a football fan days like these are special. Enjoy them.
I want Scotland to win but if they dont I’m really not all that bothered. Dundee United are my team and always will be. Club football has always held more importance to me. Remember this is Scotland’s high point in 23 years. You kinda lose interest after a while of continuous disappointments. If we win tomorrow I’ll enjoy it if we lose I’ll shrug it off saying I’ve seen it all before. We are not a world class side and we know it.
I was lucky to see England win their only tournament in 1966 and believe me it lifts the whole nation. To say you'd rather see Barnsley win a dead rubber than England win a tournament is probably a bit of bravado. If (A big if granted,) England get to the final you'll be glued to the TV like the rest of us, mark my words.
Glad we won but a bang average performance typical of a Southgate team and can’t see us getting very far.
I never said I wasn’t going to watch the games, but, like I said, Barnsley comes first in every single regard, and, if England get to the final and lose I’ll be mildly displeased for half an hour and then I’ll be over it. If Barnsley lose any game I am down and sad for days.
Very flat game after all-action first few minutes. Take the win, though - build into it. The booing of the Croatian anthem and the players for taking the knee was an absolute ******* disgrace, though. The brain-dead cuπts responsible should be publicly flogged.
To be honest, I'm not sure who gets angry, but one question I'd ask, is why join in an England match day thread to say you're not interested in England? Just plain weird.
