    Did Root just claim in his interview that they had a go then shut up shop when they realised they couldnt get there ?

    Problem was our middle order. Had we had Stokes and Buttler to come in we might have given it a go but with the team we had on that pitch they would just have got themselves out. Must admit I recorded the Grand Prix and switched to watching the recording mid afternoon when it was clearly going to be a draw. The positives. Our bowling was good and we didn’t lose Robinson had an excellent debut. The negatives. Our batting lineup doesn’t look test class to me
