Could I voice the opinion that, frankly, it doesn’t really matter what happened tonight, What really matters is us getting out of this God forsaken Division in the next year.

I just think he's been poor all the way through, same as Kane. Whether or not it's the system that doesn't suit them, i do understand that as they're both outstanding players, but if he's determined to continue with that system then change the personnel.

It's been the same substitution required nearly every time - Palmer for Foden and Toney or Watkins for Kane. So why not start with them?

Eh? How does that work then? Maybe England would have won this tournament if "supporters" like you had actually supported the team?

I think both Foden and Bellingham to a degree both suffered massively with nothing infront of them. Foden thrives when there are players buzzing around him, lots of movement and quick passes; we never play that way and I think Kane is a huge part of that unfortunately

I think Gareth is a phenomenal man manager and great at PR just lacks tactical awareness at big moments which costs him and us. Great effort though given that we had to dig really deep while not really playing well.

I’d love Klopp to do it but doubt he will.

Not sure on that Helen, it may take time, but he had Brighton playing some lovel stuff. Didn't work out at Chelsea but we've seen what's happened since!

sorry Tomi, don’t agree , we have loads of attacking talent and he just ignores it more often than not. I honestly think if we played attacking football we would have achieved far more.

Second best tonight. Unable to play through their press. Kane was dreadful. Spain deserved to win. Simply put.

You need to be braver on the ball, pass and move. But every time they pressed us, we bottled it. When we went long, Kane won nothing.

It’s a shame, because when we had the ball in their third we looked dangerous.

I can’t knock Gareth or the squad to be honest. Made the final without ever looking very good.

    Interesting to see what’s next.

I thought Spain did the basics better than us and that’s all it took really. They’re hardly the Brazil of yesteryear, but control and pass the ball well and always have an out ball. They look like a team that’s not just gathered for a tournament.

Think you're being very harsh on Foden, he's been good in last few matches when moved to his best position. If we played how a lot of fans feel we can, Foden would be one of the best. I do agree though, if we aren't playing a certain way, why keep the same players. Kane is baffling, I could understand on paper why he started, but it's evident why he shouldn't have

Two wingers eh? Gives me a little bit of hope that the game might possibly get back to the version I loved.

Not even shocked anyway by tonight it’s why I cannot ever get behind an England team I’ve been alive for 43 years and they have failed year in year out.

    Lost us this Tournament?
What a child like, entitled comment.
Here's some news for you, the other teams are trying to win too.

Neville just said it you can't win without the ball. A striker holding the ball up or running in behind is so important

Sorry mate but Southgate lovers haven't lost the tournament. Southgate haters haven't lost us the tournament either. Supporters dont lose tournaments and its illogical to suggest they do.
England were beaten by a better side. Spain were technically a bit better and for most of the time they were tactically better. They were more fluid as well. England sitting deep after the equaliser invited further pressure. Best team won.
As to Southgate I think he's tactically not very good and doesn't get the best out of teams and doesn't get his boys playing as a unit. He has to go now for me in spite of statistics saying he's got England into the latter stages regularly. These players could be even better in my opinion.
However, back to your original point the result, as I said, is nothing to do with supporters. I dont really understand the logic of why you would say that.

Yep, look at the impact Watkins had when he's been coming on. The goal against Netherlands just happened because he ran in behind. Kane would have been deeper with his back to goal waiting for ball to feet

I ain’t arguing H. I expect John Stones to exactly what he’s done tonight. Go to page 3 & see my starting 11? I got shot down, but ain’t gloating. I had Trippier over Shaw, but Luke was Englands best player tonight..
