He's only 30 and played 642 career games so far. That does not strike me as someone troubled by injuries. He still has 3 years left on his Bayern Munich contract. I would like to hope and expect he will at least be around for the next world cup (pending qualification).

I don’t really get the Guehi shouts.

In all 3 group games he dropped one clanger in each that nearly cost us a goal & then missed the quarter final.

I feel like he’s getting more credit because many people expected him to be a weak link & he’s done better than expected.

For me it needs to be a near ever present & of them I’d say Pickford, Saka, Stones in that order.

Mainoo. Considering his age and relative lack of experience, he's been amazing and the type of player England have long been without. Barely gives the ball away, driving runs, positive. He's going to be some player.

    I think it's Saka then Guehi/Stones.

    Brighter than Southgates tenure?

That would be hard to beat.

I take it you can't remember the 70s, 80s and large parts of the 00's and 2000's then.

Declan Rice ... for his defensive work mainly. Covers a lot of the others' a*ses. Not playing his preferred role, immaculate but for one slip (which admittedly cost us a goal :)).
Mainoo has been a revelation given his age & experience.

Almost gave it to Foden for that 1st half display.

I get he’s been relatively successful without winning anything and you well know I mean progressive football not the Neil Collinsesque bland negative stuff.
A decent manager with these players would or should be wiping the floor with all comers.

Mainoo has transformed the team, allowing others to look better as well. Easy choice

Mainoo. I enjoyed watching him in a poor Manchester United side this season, when he eventually broke through. Saka has been very good he past two games, but was poor before that.

Pickford or Saka or Palmer for his impact. Henderson for the fact he's made no mistakes whatsoever and no one can criticise his positioning this time.

Saka just ahead of Mainoo and Guehi for me.
If Mainoo had started the first couple of games I might have leaned towards him, but I think Saka has consistently been our best player going forward and scored a vital goal. Was unlucky to get one ruled out against the Dutch as well.
Honourable mentions to Stones, Rice and Pickford.

Stones was partly to.blame for the Swiss goal. I've gone manioo because he's been Good in every game he's played. Saka and foden were slow burners but sakas been great past two games.
