Think you get me wrong buddy, I'm undecided myself. But you asked for opinions. Presume you meant 'peace' not 'piece'?

The only thing this country would be good at with this lot in Govt is making sure those with very little pay even more than those with very much. Fek knows it's bad enough now for many.

Must admit Tarntyke, every time I see Cameron and Osborne arguing to stay it makes me want to vote leave.

The EU keeps peace BETWEEN European countries. NATO led invasions into countries. You can't claim that NATO who lead unjustified invasions into two countries completely destabilising the middle East and directly leading to the formation of ISIS and therefore terrorist attacks over here have kept peace. It is like claiming that lance Armstrong has done a great job in highlighting the use of drugs in cycling.

By the way I don't know if I'm in or out as I've seen no clear evidence either way and I know I won't see any as everything is agenda led.

i'm talking about peace in europe not iraq or any other middle eastern country, the original reply was about how the EU has kept peace for 60 years

i also think a very large military presence in germany kept a few trouble causers in check and this had nowt to do with the european union as such

I don't know if any of you have ever heard of the Dunning-Kruger effect (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning–Kruger_effect), but the EU debate certainly seems to prove this psychological effect. Basically, those who know little about something are more likely to believe they know more than they actually do while those who are more knowledgeable are more likely to realize how much they don't know so keep quieter about their knowledge.

All we have are people spouting off about their personal opinions without providing hard facts to prove their argument - its all speculation and conjecture. The truth is nobody knows what will actually happen in the future, and no matter which way we vote we can;t be certain what effect that will have on future events.

Saying that, I'm firmly for staying in - but thats mainly to stop the mess that a permanent Tory government would have on our futures. By the time they've eroded workers rights and sold off everything (education and health included), it will be too late to recover the situation. At least with the EU, it helps to prevent the most excessive policies and gives the individual more protection.

Perhaps the most laughably ill-informed comment I've ever read on the BBS.

I know, it's difficult to take that there are nastier people in their party in the Leave Campaign, and as much as I dislike,, nay hate, the pair of them, I will be voting the same way as them in the Referendum,

So the working time directive that gives people the right to paid holidays and prevents junior doctors for example from being made to work even more ridiculous hours how long will that last post Europe...

Have you ever wondered about multi millionaire Arch capitalist Farage's real motives. Get rid of paid holidays for the workers tally Ho. Get rid of any other protections tally Ho. Of course wrap it in the Union Jack and jobs a good un'.

The steel workers could be sorted out by nationalisatio perfectly within EU rules.

Just look at how the value of the pound has plummetted on the foreign exchanges since the announcement of the referendum. It would tank the economy, that's not fear mongering, it's what would happen.
I was discussing this with the missus over tea the other night.
The out campaign is using emotion - using words like sovereignty, maintaining borders, getting rid of immigrants.
It is a harder task for the In camp because they are using the status quo, it's about cold economic facts.
