the out campaign is using emotion....and the in campaign arnt, aye allreyt

as for paid holidays, these were fought for by the unions decades ago,so ffs stop making out that all these employee rights are courtesy of the eu,you are making it sound like the labour party and the unions achieved nothing.

Employee rights are underpinned by the EU whether they came in via the EU or were already existing rights. So leaving the EU would put all of these at risk. This govt, and the Tory led Coalition before it, have been, and continue to erode many employment rights,. Take at look at the latest anti TU Bill with all its negative connotations for the working person. So ffs sake stop making out that the worker will not be affected by leaving the EU. What the Labour Party and the TU achieved in the past will count for nothing in the very near future.

In all fairness it's uncertainty that markets dislike - once we were free to trade with the world rather than through a restrictive closed shop they'd soon settle....

Never fail to be surprised at how many Labour supporters rush to side with the banks and multinationals on this issue - those lads always look out for the worker eh ?

I've only mentioned it twice on here which when compared to the number of posts warning us of a complete loss of any workers rights if we leave pales into insignificance.

It's nice to see you're firmly behind 'Call me Dave' though. :D

Laughable..FFS. Many people want to be in the EU for different things, Only the Leave campaign says uncertainty in the markets would soon settle,

Aye, with Dave for the remain in Europe bit, When there is evidence to support that workers rights have been and continue to be eroded/ attacked, coupled with the fact that EU underpins these rights, then it's a no brainier that the nasty party (including Cameron) will finish the job off. That's not 'Project Fear' that,s inevitability. But you go on believing the Nice Tories wouldn't do anything of the sort and its scaremongering.

Aye - the workers of Strasbourg have certainly had their rights underpinned by the EU.

I want to stay in the EU - but stupidity like this has to be sorted. But it wasn't even on Dave's list of demands to stay...

some might say it's trivial - I think this kind of BS is fundamental to why things need to change - and if only by voting to leave makes change happen - that's where my vote will be.

Neither option is great. If we go there will be trouble - but if we stay it will be double.

It is 100% scaremongering. Anybody who really believes that leaving the EU will mean a total collapse of workers rights needs to get their heads out of their Socialist Worker or Guardian and live in the real world. I've been over this already so I'm not getting into the same debate but the majority of bosses are not governed by Europe, they don't treat their staff according to the latest piece of legislation from Brussels. To demonise all companies as being ready to turn into Victorian workhorses as soon as we leave Europe is scaremongering. Thankfully not everybody is so willing to believe the rhetoric.

Ah the Telegraph, How can voting to leave the EU make things change in the EU. You can only make changes by being within?

FFS , Get your head out of the sand, you really don't know your party do you. I suggest it's you who needs to live in the real world. By the way you are getting into the same debate, There is evidence to suggest that there is the erosion of workers rights, Thanfully not everybody is willing to believe the rhetoric that you have.

You get that whenever there's any doubt about anything though, it could change just as quickly in the opposite direction once a decision is made the country moved forward.

The telegraph was the frst one that came up on google - but it tends to be less emotional than the more hysterical papers such as the guardian or worse the Mail.

As for the stronger within - I think that's the biggest mistake of this whole debacle.

Personally I'd have gone to the electorate before a negotiation - Mr. UK voter here are a list of 20 demands including making sure the French stop rigging their public procuremnet tenders, the EU stops arsing around moving to Strasbourg every month - Polish plasterers can't get child benefit unless their bairns are in the UK and Angella Merkel gets a face lift - or better still wears a paper bag to every conference. I want a mandate to leave the EU if our demands are not met - or at least the one about Merkel if nothing else.

Going into the negotiations saying - right then Fritz and the rest of you cheese eating surrender monkeys cards on the table - deal or no deal would have been a stronger card to play.

As it is we've gained nothing and it's all a bit poo really.

Know my party? The EU referendum is not about party politics, if it was you wouldn't be part of the 'call me Dave' gang. And yes you must be right because the workers in every nation on Earth who aren't controlled by Europe have absolutely no rights and toil away in workhouses while counting their lucky stars that they won't be sacked because they doffed their cap to the boss.

I'm not part of his gang, I believe we're better off in the EU, not least of all for better protection of workers rights. The Tories, and in particular the right wing have, and continue to attack workers rights. Many rights are known to be ear-marked for attack are underpinned by the EU, So it's quite easy to see that party politics do have a significance on the EU referendum. You're naive to think otherwise. IDS and Boris are good examples of that.

Ah, so,no company in the world goes to the Indian sub-continent and other lesser developed countries to exploit workers who have young children amongst their workforce and pay them peanuts for very long hours? These people have absolutely no rights. Or is this all lies dreamed up by left-wing media.
I'm sure that there are workers in EU and non EU countries enjoying good working conditions and not every govt feels the need to flex their class muscles like ours do.
As for doffing the cap- Zero hours contracts is the modern day version of doffing the cap or am I being alarmist or 'project fear' for suggesting such a thing. Incidentally, A recent TUC reports stated that since 2014 Zero hours contract work has risen by 14% despite this govt. making noises about addressing it.
