I decided at the start of the tournament that I was having a fiver bet on the first game, and if it lost, I wasn't having another bet. After the first full day, I'm £20 in front having had the following: Draw half time, Italy full time (W) Switzerland to win and BTTS (L) Denmark - 1 (L) Belgium - 1 & Lukaku to score (W) Paddy Power are offering a completely free bet for their bet builder on the England game today, which is a bonus. England to win, Harry Kane to score, and under 2.5 goals in the game 103/20 The other two games today are much harder to predict: Austria and Macedonia to draw, and both teams to score 371/100 Netherlands and Ukraine to draw 14/5
Yeah, you're probably right there. I initially thought that anything that gives the attacking player an advantage would be a good thing (because that never happens otherwise), but this might just be too confusing.
John Stones to score anytime and 2-0. I went big on Belgium last night as they were evens which was just a license to print money. Got the early payout on 2-0 and then put £50 on again at evens for them to score the next goal. Paid for my England ticket today!
Belgium were bizarrely over priced. Even without De Bruyne, Witsel and Hazard, they seem to have a habit of convincingly beating anyone outside of the world's top 10.
It was mental. Can only assume the fact it was in Russia played a part, but without a full attendance that was never going to be an issue. Russia are a poor side these days.
North Macedonia home strip...all red. Austria white shirts black shorts. Tonight one side in all white, the other black shirts and turquoise. England home strip yet again ditched in favour of all white. The assault on tradition goes on.
OUTSTANDING win for England today! Disappointing that Austria have taken the lead against Macedonia haha
This thread hasn't really worked because people still keep making their own threads but whatever Slovakia just beat Poland lol
o/t Venues. Of the 36 countries who qualified for Euro 2020/1 -- 15 countries don't have a single game in their country. All games are played in 9 qualifying countries ---- Italy, Denmark, Russia, Holland, England, Scotland, Spain, Hungary, Germany --- as well as Azerbaijan and Romania. Was the old format when matches were played in one/two countries better/fairer ??
This isn’t an “old format/new format” thing - the weird way they’re doing it this year is for the 60th anniversary of the tournament. Or 61st now I suppose…
