same as Mario, could be I'm wrong and am willing to listen to both sides before I make a final decision, nowt to do with immigration either as somebody said earlier. As it stands I am sick to death of the money the EU wastes on stupid schemes (we have enough of our own), interfering in the running of our country (not in a good way) and am not convinced by the trade issue either, but as I say I'm still trying to sort it out in my mind and listening to all arguments.

Cameron will come back from negotiations in Brussels telling everyone what a fantastic deal he has got, whether he has managed to negotiate such a deal or not. This will enable the rest of his party barring perhaps 50 to 60 Euro sceptics to get behind the deal. The Labour party, the Liberal Democrats and the SNP are natural European supporters. In fact the SNP are threatening another independence vote if Britain leaves. So basically, that leaves the rebel Tories and UKIP. With all the heavy-weights out campaigning for a YES vote, it will be a brave (or perhaps foolish) voter who votes NO.

I will be voting to stay in and see nothing wrong with immigration provided the people coming in are workers and not claimers.

Clearly different. You could be not turning up for any number of reasons.

Spoilt ballots do nothing as they are filed away under various categories that hide your intention. The only successful way to 'spoil your paper' is to follow a strict set of guidelines in exactly what and where you write on the paper

    In, I think.

My workplace would go under within 6 months without European migrant workers.

Nonsense mate. Fantastic company to work for with many progressive routes on very good salaries. The shift patterns/rotas are the only thing I don't like about the place. And even at the most basic level on £8 an hour or whatever it is, packing etc, that's surely got to be better than signing on for a hundred quid a week or whatever they dish out at the joke shop nowadays. No?

That is one myth I hope will be busted as facts are given to us as we approach the referendum.

in the absence of accurate information about the merits or otherwise of staying in my guess is that those who like Cameron will vote to stay in, those (like me) who dislike the guy and his party will vote NO.

Why wouldn't British workers work there?

Actually there is a possibility of doing both, in the past, nations voting against the EU treaties have had it all repackaged and been asked to vote again until the correct answer is given...so vote Out to start with, and if enough people agree with you and Out is the answer just wait a few months for the next referendum and vote In
In 2005 10 Countries planned referenda on the European Constitution, after the first four countries voted it was 2-2...so the other six referenda were scrapped.
Ireland has been particularly troublesome to the EU, they've voted against two treaties, only to have it all put back again for a second go, obviously the acceptance of the second vote is permanently binding, whereas the first rejection is only treated as a temporary hitch. Since the Irish had their second vote no other EU member country has trusted their people in a referendum.

Although I'm still undecided, there would be no reason for your company to go under, workers from anywhere in the world would still be welcome here if we wanted them, it would just be by invitation rather than right. There are no laws within the EU to stop people working anywhere they wish, they only need a work permit etc.

I see what Dustani is getting at though....the subject is so difficult to understand, you listen to two sides peddling opposing scenarios...with a lot of incorrect or even misinformation, a lot of it is purely guesswork, it's never happened before so there's no track record to look at.... I voted in the 1975 referendum... strangely enough the far left and the far right were mostly Anti EU or correctly, EEC, ( European Economic Community, as it was sold to us as purely an economic trading agreement) unable to understand the totally conflicting arguments I voted with the centre ground, perhaps not one man..but one block of centreist politicians who I thought whose opinions may be more trustworthy...despite not really understanding the detail, or as it turned out the wider plan that Tony Benn amongst others warned about.
