So to be in the EEC you have to abide by the ECHR, and if we vote out we won't. So we're just splitting hairs.

A difficult question. I'm undecided at the moment. It is completely naive not to acknowledge the economic benefits of EU membership and their is a real potential for a further recession on a par with 2008-10 in the aftermath of any exit. At the same time the immeasurable cost to the social structure and fabric of the UK is more difficult to measure. I was hoping that some research would be published this year around this to better inform the decision but t seems to have been shelved.

I guess I'm marginally in mainly because of Farage any argument he is involved in I'm instinctively on the other side and he clearly want to leave the EU to remove employment protection rights so him and his rich mates would get richer.

but that's back to the one man thing and ignoring the fact that a lot of equally horrible people will make a lot of money by getting us to stay in

We signed up to the ECHR long before we joined the Common Market.

And? As long as we're in the EU we have to abide by the ECHR, if we opt out we don't. It's as pertinent a reason as any to vote out.

Assuming you don't want to abide by the ECHR that is.

Right now it's out for me, however, it now depends on whether we can govern our own country without being bullied by Brussels if we stay in (hardly likely).
My out vote is based on the 50 odd million pound we pay daily to th EU

Trouble is we will NEVER be told the whole truth on all we need to know to make an informed judgement.
