Previously.... No I understood your point, you were just incorrect. Modern imperialism still exists, just in a different form. Whereas initially we'd invade and rule directly, we now do it via puppet regimes that are entirely sympathetic to our needs. So your point that this is "in the past" is actually not true. Iraq was invaded, over a million people killed in the invasion and aftermath. We helped install a regime sympathetic to western requirements, the US has several military bases in the country and the US embassy building in Baghdad is the largest in the world. We were part of that. Whilst it's not imperialism as we'd traditionally recognise it, it is of little difference.
Personally I hate Ahmed Corke, Mohammed Saville, Umar Glitter and of course all the Muslim clerics who the pope regularly apologises for
It is a bit like a timewarp. I mean I often read your posts and think I've transported back to the stone age.
The locals here are extremely generous but it's not in their culture to advertise it. They donate billions each year to children's charities for instance. Please don't think that all Muslims are radical as would be portrayed by the media.
It is part of the Islam religion to donate a portion of their income to charity. I can't remember what its called, but its the same thing to do with not being able to earn or charge interest on borrowed money - or pay tax for that matter.
