Equally if your nation is committing genocide and you willingly choose to represent that nation by singing a politically motivated song then you deserve all the criticism you get aged 20 or 50, male or female. If you and your colleagues go around harassing the representatives of other countries and try to provoke a reaction from them then you deserve all the criticism you get. And I think you've massively misunderstood what a vocal minority is. The vocal minority is the idiots who cannot seperate the actions of a state and the religion they share with those committing the atrocities and who have made their voice heard by voting in large numbers simply because they see the word Israel and decide they must support because they're too thick to seperate a country from a religion.
Biggest load of crap i have ever seen on eurovision. There are usually some rubbish songs, which you can expect but i thought the whole thing was bad last night and the voting is more bent than the refs we get at Oakwell
Now call me old fashioned but I think I noticed quite a lot of a gay vibe. I'm guessing one particular reason we may have received zero points in the public vote was due to our entrant at one point of his performance deep throating his microphone.
35k dead in Gaza and you're getting your Daily Mail knickers in a twist about people protesting outside the hotel of a singer who was happy to use the events for political capital. Typical Daily Heil hypocrisy. The vast majority of people in the UK are against Israeli actions. So you're the minority. https://yougov.co.uk/politics/artic...s-to-the-israel-gaza-conflict-may-2024-update
