even if we stay up, the squad assembled is garbage

    We've been inconsistent ALL season

IIRC, we've barely put two wins together. It has nothing to do with JCR's redeployment...

"anti-Davey mob" = almost everybody (finally.)

It suits us to tell the truth. This squad would fare better with no manager at all.

And it wouldn't be at all difficult to criticise his tactics if we had the worst squad in the division.

Is it anything to do with being petrified of the opposition? nt

I don't think our squad is very good

I think it's massively overrated by most people on here.

Aye but at least his opinions are based on what he sees when he goes to the games though

Short term I'm 100% sure we would.

We'd play the width of the pitch for a start.

stop talking B*ll*cks.......... apart from a few, the squad we have got should be more than capable of holding their own in the championship....

JCR, Colace, Boggy, Muller (admittedly when he dunt **** up), moore, Foster, hassell, are in my view among the best players in the division...

the thing is, I see the carrier bag & badge set at every away game but I wouldnt ask their opinion on Muller's goal kicks.

I go to the games I can afford to in both time and cost, do you actually get to an away game outside SY?

Gotta be tough work slogging that Honda 50 down to Forest.

    Just as I said yesterday

Shows no confidence in your own players when you constantly concentrate on the opposition's attack.

Yes you have to plan how to defend against them, but also how to attack and beat them, which never seems to get mentioned.

I've been everwhere from Darlington and Hartlepool to Yeovil, Bournemouth and Colchester

That's not my point though - my point is that you need to see plenty of games to base your opinions on

You slag off everyone else's opinions even though they are probably seeing more football than you

In certain positions we are very good, in others we are ****

Goalkeeper: Got two excellent keepers, unfortunatly down to poor squad selection that will be one keeper after the season ends and it is a keeper out of form.

Left back: We only have one player capable of playing there and he is a right back. We need a LEFT back

Right back: We are pretty strong here with both hassell and Kozluk capable right backs.

Centre backs: When davey picks the right pair we are decent here.

Left wing: Would be nice if we had one

Right wing: JCR and Devaney are both great right wingers. No issues here.

Central defensive midfield: With 67 defensive midfielders signed by davey this could well be our strongest position

Central attacking midfield: Our only attacking midfielder was last seen heading to bramall lane at the end of last year. Desperatly need someone in this position

Strikers After three seasons, and bringing in I think 12 different strikers we are worse off in this department than when Davey took over. As has been said routinely throughout Daveys tenure as barnsley manager we need to sign new strikers if we are to succeed.

So I make that at least four new players needed before we can say we have a good side. Left back, left winger, attacking midfielder and at least one striker.
