No chance. Stones is better than Cahill right now. Cahill's the weak link in that back 4 & I expected Mourinho to get a first choice centre back brought in to play with Terry next season
Yes and that's the opening bid from Chelsea - they usually get their man. If Man Utd and City get involved in the bidding then we could be in for a bumper payment. In fairness to BFC, given that he could leave for £30m to £35m, it is looking to be a smart move to keep the sell on clause under wraps. I just hope that some of this money goes back into the team to sign the likes of O'Sullivan, Williams, another winger and a top class centre forward.
Everton can't afford to turn down decent money. Where's the silly b*stards from Manchester that usually pay silly money for dog toss players like Sterling when you need them?
I don't. He could become another young English player who's talent is to become a professional bench warmer. Two years later he's punted on to a championship club. The only one of the clubs that I think might develop his career is Arsenal.
Once we get our sell-on clause, I don't really care whether he wins 100 England caps or ends up playing for Doncaster reserves.
lets hope its the start of a bidding war oh and for those who think he would be better staying at Everton then think again...He will get Champions League football at Chelsea/Man City .That can only up his England prospects.... also he will get a better pay packet and a percentage of transfer fee..... If Chelsea do up their bid then I reckon he will be off.... then its great news for us.
Re: lets hope its the start of a bidding war Obviously see him a a long term replacement for that **** Terry. Apparently they will go back with £26m bid. Interesting little graphic here: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CKHKhY_UsAA7R34.jpg:large
and if Holgate goes for over a million thyen we could be in a very good place.... that's assuming the bulk of that is spent on some good players
It will be interesting to see what the club does as ideally we need players brought in so we can get the team playing together, but at the same time if you're waiting on a possible Holgate/Digby/Stones deals they might be looking of their shoulder a little bit and biding their time.
Re: and now other clubs have an idea of his price Reports now saying Chelsea will come back with a 26 million bid, but Everton want at least 30 million. I hope other clubs come in for him as well, but it doesn't look like it. I think Chelsea will be hoping 26 is enough by hoping he will become distracted and force the move. Can't see Stones being unsettled by it all.
It wouldn't surprise me if our lot haven't been on blower to Everton and told them we'd take £4 million in one lump now .
