4m would be about right anyway wouldn't it? if there's any truth in 15%, we wouldn't get any more than that under sell on anyway, would we? he's not gonna go for more than 30m

I can only compare it to the fee paid for Man U for Rio Ferdinand. Stones arguably better and younger at this stage. Plus it was what 10 years ago?!

The money is going to be paid over a period of time so it won,t make that much difference,it ain't going to be paid in full.

That's my point BFC are likely to take a lesser percentage now in one lump before we even find out what they flog him for, if say we've got anything around a 20% sell on, both clubs would interested in a £3.5 million to £4.5 million one off payment made now, it would make sense to both party's

Although if we knew we were getting £1.5m a year for three years we could offer new players three year contracts, for example, using it and remaining within ffp rules. I don't think they allow us to carry forward profit for wages, so £3m in one go only helps you with the transfer fee, not the salary.

I could be wrong but that was my understanding.

Would Everton have to pay us,or would we get paid direct from the buying club?

I suspect we'd telex such a thing in a legal document but forget to proof read and just accidentally miss off the "m"

I agree. If I was Everton I'd be holding out for a lot more especially if it was Chelsea and I'd have two words for them if they offered less than £35m. They would be David Luiz.

So how much did we negotiate to pay in sell on clauses? Can't believe we actually negated any fee in our favour

I just know it is. It's your job to prove me wrong pal.

Remember Kiwomya? Remember Declan John? Remember Home shirt design and black away kit! And some may even remember I told you we were having a Nike kit months ahead of it happening too !

Oh yes and here's another exclusive (arbeit said a little tongue in cheek) Lee Johnsons reaction to been told about Chelsea's rejected bid for Stones this morning "that's good news, this is why I haven't been buying players yet. I'll have another few million to spend".
