I'm with you madmark,he's a football manager FFS,he's meant to be the leader who inspires the players and the fans,at the moment 'r Keith does the opposite!

You're missing the point Mark, which was sort of the point I was trying to make. We've all been supporting BFC a long time before Keith Hill rolled up and we'll be supporting the club a long time after he's gone. It's not about Keith Hill, I quite like the fella as it goes, but I couldn't care less what he thinks or says about the fans or the media. It's about the fans. The fans are the club and the fact is, we are in a worrying position - hovering above the drop zone, in between owners, without an obvious pot to piss in, an injury list a mile long and no immediate way out of jail.

The negativity of the fans is undoubtably having serious impact on performances and results and my suggestion is that we close ranks, get behind the team and remove that unnecessary damaging factor from the equation. If not, we are actually playing a part in our own downfall and who in their right mind would do that? As I said, it's not about Keith Hill - he can always walk away, we can't.

Hope I've put that a bit better.

Ok , but for the crowd to start to get behind the team takes more than just blind faith!
At some matches this season the crowd have been fantastic, yet the team are still **** !!
Go figure then, why the fans are getting restless !!
Maybe its not the fans that are at fault in the first place , just poor tactics and poor performances from players that, while not highly paid in footballing terms, are paid vastly more than the fans that have paid to watch them! If those fans were to perform as poorly as theplayers and manager have been doing, they would have been out of a job a while a go.

While I admire your sentiments it is time for the highly paid ones to step up and provide something to cheer.

Sorry mr c I don't agree, it's about the players bought, the players picked on the day, the formation, the tactics, the training in between games, moral in the camp, the attitude and mentality of individual players.... All are within the power of the MANAGER..

I might see negativity on the Internet, but that's par for the course at any football club and if managers and players dont like it they should stay away from the forums.

The support at oakwell is quiet (not negative) because we play tippy tappy uneventful (boring) football in front of a rapidly diminishing crowd. The support away from home is generally vocal and positive. So I don't get why there's all this talk about negativity amongst the fans diminishing the teams performance. The negativity is all down to manager, he needs to buck up or shove off.
