    Yes, but at least we won promotion that season ............

    ........ (or was it the season after?) despite the terrible signing, as opposed to now when it might get us relegated, then again, Danny Wilson had the balls to admit he'd dropped a bollock with Regis, quickly binned him off and signed Wilkinson and Hendrie.

    Mr. Davey could learn a very important lesson from that!

    Season after. That season was a bizarre one. Losing 5-0 at home to Brum, the turn round in the League Cup v Hudds (2-0 down from 1st leg, won 4-0 at home Payton hat trick I think) Carel Van Der Velden......</p>

    Then Wilson gave a longer contract to our best midfielder, signed a quality left back and 2 centre forwards and we got promotion. Just about the polar opposite to what's happened recently.....

    We did get money in the deal too

    I think it's fair to say Wilson didn't want Rammel any more, I can't say I blame him, and accepted the offer from Southend. Regis was just thrown in for free.
