Glad it's not just me. I don't even understand the connection between the list and the OP. I was expecting something about the Labour Party. Perhaps I'm missing something obvious.

He 100% did not take stance.
The wider implications of the economic fallout were and we'll frankly are the issue.

Do you reckon it's 'them' or a relatively natural tendency to move right as you get older? I'm like you, see myself as Labour/left through and through but also recognising more and more purist/student/pretend politics as on the more extreme ends of left and right.

It's a bit like me telling myself I'm working class but reality is I'm about as middle class as they come economically. Linked?

The article is utter rubbish. So is the Guardian most of the time these days. Any idea that it is "left wing" anymore is like saying that Starmer is. I stopped reading it a long time ago. Click bait rubbish.

Tandoori Hut is very poor. Over -priced mediocre curry in a factory environment where patrons are simply seen as bonuses for the balance sheet and not friends. The food is just 'ok'.
As an aside I read that Guardian article and there's nothing to glean from it except the fact that someone at the Guardian was asked to write an article, decided they wanted to be witty and sat round a table with a couple of colleagues trying to think of humourous situations which others could relate to. They failed to do that. The article is kak. People on here could write a better list.

I'll tell you what, if you'd written this about me, you'd be hearing from my solicitor. I don't say that lightly, having suffered that myself, but I've been stewing on this all day and what you wrote is disgusting.

For what it's worth, I think it's less that people move to the right as they get older as politics moves gently to the left without anyone realising. I don't know what the next culture war is but I'll definitely be holding a placard and marching down Westminster against it in 10 years time because "it was better in my day"

Honestly, most of what you say I agree with 100%, but I would say that, in this instance, it is a Barnsley Football Club football forum and it isn’t that massive of an issue.

I can agree with you about most people moving to the right, (but not all), generalisations fit groups, not individuals. Since I've been alive politics has gone further & further to the right, with a brief pause, under Labour, who did bring in the public sector into their reforms, much to many of us' chagrin. Basically when the welfare state had been established for 20 odd years people just started thinking of themselves. New telly / car / buy my council house at a massive discount, with no new house being built out of the proceeds. Scan forward 30-40 years & we are where we are.

Get that, fair point, but it just seemed so out of line to me, he's accusing someone of endangering people's lives. That's not OK. And TM was right most of the time. It just seems so wrong. But I do take your point.

The Guardian had a bit of a reputation for being left wing as it was more to the left than everyone else bar the Mirror but when Labour actually had a left wing leader they spent more time & effort criticising the leadership than any of the Murdoch press.

That's an interesting take actually. Save us a spot on the minibus. Cheers.
