Absolutely horrendous. Thoughts and prayers are with everyone caught up in this nightmare. We have got to do something to stop this happening .Hate and radicalisation is not acceptable.
Piers Morgan was interviewing Iaan Duncan Smith on TV AM. Said that some in the Muslim community must have known the bomber. What possesses them to countenance such an atrocity.? He went on to say there are postings on Twitter and Facebook celebrating what this moron has done. Absolutely unbelievable.
Whether it's Islamists, White Supremacists, Paddys or even just somebody who's heads gone ........ how the **** can you do that to kids? It's beyond me. Had so many good times with kids there since they were wee bairns ..... Thomas the Tank, Disney on Ice, HSM etc ......... lovely venue. Then as they get older we let them go by themselves - daughter went the other month to see Bieber. Can't see me letting her go again any time soon, but when do you let go? Also bugging me, went to see Rush there a few years ago. Was pi55ed up and remember the banter with security that they wouldn't let me in with my half eaten burger. Nothing malicious, just banter, but no way was that burger getting in. So HOW ON EARTH does a nail bomb get through.

From what I heard it was in the entrance way near the merchandise. It sounds like parents were allowed in there (not into the actual venue) to collect/meet their kids coming out. So it was at least a semi-public area.

It shows how evil and calculated they were. Terrorists are angry at the bombs countries have dropped on their kids in cities like Raqaa and Mosul. So on the anniversary of Lee Rigby they decide to attack a concert full of kids watching a singer who started on kids TV so appeals greatly to that demographic. Attacks usually happen in London so this being so far away for it is a bad sign that it's spreading.
Let's be reight - we know the profile of the perpetrator but this is not the time. Thoughts with all the victims and their families.
This morning, ISIS claimed responsibility and threatened further attacks, saying 'one of the caliphate's soldiers placed bombs within a gathering of the Crusaders' Starting to wish I wasn't going to the Cup final on Saturday
It appears a few of us on here have loved ones who had a lucky escape. Genuinely thankful for that. But our thoughts must go out to those poor, poor people who were not so lucky. It was quite obvious that teenage girls who be the majority of those attending, but seems that meant nothing to this scum. I don't wish to enter into a religion or racial debate, but am at odds as to what we can do as a society to prevent suchlike happening again. I don't believe the answer is out there.
When you are faced with people who do not even value their own life and think that blowing up kids is acceptable, it is hard to not start to despair as to what the hell we can do to end this. Damned if I have any answers.
I doubt the answer is dropping more bombs on the middle east, getting involved with wars with America or selling arms to Saudi Arabia. I would like to think that people making the effort to integrate and welcome these people into our society would help stop them becoming radicalised, but I am probably too optimistic about the human condition.
I don't agree with Ariana Grande cancelling the rest of her tour and already being back home in Florida. The show must go on to show evil that they aren't going to make plans be changed. Just like when WWE Smackdown was filmed a few hours after 9/11 happened because the New York mayor gave the green light for that very reason. She had a couple of days off until more concerts later in the week at a totally different venue. I could understand if she had another Manchester Arena gig tonight. A lot of her fans are young girls who'd have been very upset after last night. Wouldn't the best thing be in a few days time to put a smile on her fans faces by doing her London gigs? At the very least before getting home as soon as she could, she could have gone to visit some of her injured fans to cheer them up at a tough time in their young lives.
