So his record then given your answers would be no better than GS's. Very interesting. I personally think we will stay up with Simon Davey as manager. How can near adminsitration be better times? How do you know what contacts Simon Davey has? Dont you acknowledge that Adie Boothroyd at Watford has done a fantastic job?
Better times in the long term, outside investment. Please have the decency to answers my questions too. Do you think the average supporter feels more positive about the future.? Is the club showing any ambition? How is the appointment of Simon Davey the man to take us to the next level? Bothroyd has done very well.....How did Les Reed do at Charlton?
Yes I think we have a bright future. If we stay up we will have been successful this season. Alot depends on the next 4 weeks and which players we can sign. Davey has picked a point up away from home and won three matches at home which is where survival will be maintained. The defence is looking better and we have kept 3 clean sheets. Yesterday was a bad defeat but we were down to the bare bones. Playing RW in midfield was madness, I would have played Tonge but its all about opinions. If PR could have got some inward investment then fair enough but why didnt he succeed in doing so during his tenure in charge? I think it is very 50/50 about the average fan feeling positive about the future, as it was when AR was appointed. The signings the club makes will determine the ambition they have, this cannot be answered just yet. Like every appointment there will be pros and cons and people for and against it. Les Reed was a disaster at Charlton results wise. I just think Davey and Boothroyd are a better comparison as they are both in mid 30's both have come through similar systems which may or may not be more relevant than those which Les Reed went through. Roll on Jan and lets see what transpires. I for one will be hoping we can pull off a result tomorrow and give everyone a lift.
Happy New Year. 50/50? Your kidding me? Tell me three posters who are more positive now Shep has appointed Davey?
RE: Happy New Year. You said the average fan. Most of the BFC fans dont use this bulletin board or even know if its existance. I think it would be about 50/50 in terms of the future of the club. In terms of the manager I dont think it would have been 50/50. Possibly 20% for and 80% against. Who knows?? The problem is would there have been a more popoular choice. Some wanted Blackwell some didnt, some wanted Dowie some didnt, some wanted Worthington some didnt, some wanted Winstanley, some didnt etc. Almost impossible to decide who is the best candidate as we dont know who the applicants were. Happy New Year to everyone who supports BFC whether we agree or not is irrelevant.
RE: what? dowie, worthington, winstanley, redfearn, toby tyke any of the above before the man that laid down and died at the feet of sheffield wednesday less than 24 hours ago. and when you say things like WE don't know, who is this we?
