No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

In terms of thrills and spills, bikes leave F1 standing. Touring cars aren't bad, but f1 is dull. It's 10% skill, 20% tactics and 70% money.

Exactly. Can't comment on Touring cars cos I've never watched it. Don't know when it's on to be honest.

I cant work out how its more exciting to watch a procession of cars

than bikes overtaking each other??? (dunno) (dunno) (dunno)
I think he has got boredom and excitment the wrong way round.

The skill level of motorcyclists are so far above and beyond car drivers its like a different planet. (worship) (worship) (worship) (worship)

    "If people weren't so ignorant"

Almost as pointless as arguing over music is to have a go at a sport someone else likes and get into an argument over it.

Personally I find all motorsport boring, that's not to say I don't appreciate the skill and effort involved, just that it doesn't interest me. But alot of people who like F1 also like motorcycle racing as well - the 2 don't have to be mutually exclusive.

    RE: Mature like

I never knew calling someone ignorant is immature.

If I'd called him a silly poo brain or summat then maybe I'd agree.

But you were saying that people are ignorant if they don't prefer motorbike racing. Pretty immature to take that sort of attitude over a person's preference in sport.

No I was saying that people are ignorant for saying that F1 drivers are more skilled than MotoGP racers, nothing to do with preferences just knowing what they are on about. I follow both F1 and MotoGP equally.

Different skills though - it's like saying a footballer is more skilled than a rugby player or vice versa, unless you get the 2 to swap places to judge.

    You mean like...

When Valentino Rossi took Schumacher's Ferrari out on the track and nearly beat the Germans personal best?

I would but I'm gonna be starting driving this year and I won't be able to afford to run a car and a bike at the same time.

He's got a Suzuki GSX1400 he fancies something more sporty now though.

If I can afford to run both I'm sure anyone can :D

I've got a CBR600 at the moment. I also had a CBR400, but sold that recently. He should come over to the Honda side!

He's not sure what he wants yet. He says he likes the Fireblade and has been recommended it so he might end up with one.

Good choice, plus with the underseat exhaust you get a free heated seat with it :D

    Haha :D

well I bet he hasn't been told that one yet, might just have sold it to him :D

Unfortunately, there's no heat control on it so it might get slightly too warm after a few hours!

    :D

Just one question slightly off the subject: Do you ride in the rain much? My dad hasn't been on in the rain yet, is he just a gret girl or is it normal? :D

To be fair he hasn't been passed long though.

Yeh, I've ridden in thick snow, ice, fog, etc.

It can be quite hairy at times, but it comes with experience. I'm not 20 for another month or so, but living in Scotland you get to experience ***** weather 264 days a year :D
