But don't forget the ball was made of cast iron in those days.

Look how many are packed in at the Brewery / Ponty corner; i think there ere about 6 standing in there when I first started going in the early 70's.

I was 15 then. I went to Leicester on the Saturday and wagged the day off for the replay. I was on the Kop end terrace and never been as tight packed in my life since. I got squeezed sideways and had to watch most of the match over my left shoulder; just couldn't move. At the end I was carried off the terrace and round the back of the stand by the crowd. I wasn't worried about all that at the time, but by God, I would be so claustrophobic now.

We (mum and dad) got our first colour tv in 74 for the World Cup.
The first game I watched on a colour tv was the 70 World Cup final on my auntie’s tv.

I probably saw things in colour during the early seventies but the first one actually in my house, even though it was rented, was 1979. Like the early VCRs it was more common to rent tellys in those days, due to the cost. Now they are almost disposable items.

I'm old enough to remember the 1966 World Cup in England and, of course, that was all in black and white. It was brilliant, therefore, when they made a film for release in cinemas of the tournament, and that was in full colour. It was simply called "Goal" if I remember correctly and it was marvellous to see football in full technicolour for the first time :)
