If you have a mobile phone contract with EE you might be able to get a 3 month free trial of BT Sports. I'm not sure if it's only available on certain tariffs, but might be worth checking. I signed up through the 'My EE' app last night and it works fine on my phone & ipad. Haven't tested it on laptop or TV yet but at least watching on ipad will be better than nothing. Just need to remember to cancel it when the 3 months is up..

They do and I may take advantage of that, obviously you have to be a plusnet broadband customer.
I already subscribe to their TV package for a fiver a month, only includes BT Sport 1 though. It used to be just a fiver extra for the full BT sport line up which I had but then it went up to £15 so I cancelled.

Competition innit. It's what we all voted for in the 80s. Can't grumble.

Now to my serious point which I'll get pelted for. If completion was genuine, Sky/BT/ITV would all show the same football match. You'd pay your subscription to the one that you felt did the best job. [OK, that might be a race to the bottom if competing on price but that's not the point].

Why should a football fan be expected to pay for Sky, Amazon, BT, and a season ticket (and have to watch adverts with many of these options).

    Rant over.

They do a £5 and a £15 one. The £5 one is called BT Sport Lite and you just get BT Sport 1.

I'm not sure I count as "the older end", but the first few times I went to Ibiza I remember booking the flights like this. We think of the Internet as having been around forever, but it's probably less than 20 years ago that I stopped using teletext as my main source of finding flights. People can say what they want about Ryanair, but it was them and Easyjet who dragged the airline industry kicking and screaming into the digital age.

Firstly I should mention that I do not subscribe to BT sports, however I think that fans grumbling about having to pay for a pass should remember that BT pay a huge wedge of sponsorship towards the FA cup competition & they are not a charity , clubs can make a great deal of money by advancing through the rounds which could be a lifeline in the current situation , my point being that they are taking unnecessary stick over their coverage , at least they are providing a vehicle for fans to watch the game which is better than no coverage at all.

It's more that you can't just buy a pass for the match. I assume the BBC would cover the matches otherwise but its been split.

Towards the end of the Danny Wilson promotion season. I "watched" the Wolves game with Grimsby (?) on Ceefax. Quite exciting actually.

I remember watching the Wolves v Grimsby game in the 96/97 season on ceefax I was refreshing the page every 20 seconds after John Oster scored for Grimsby drove the Mrs barmy she just couldn't understand why I was getting so wound up about game Barnsley weren't involved in. She finally worked it out when I rolled in at 4am Sunday after the Bradford game slightly worse for wear she still went barmy though the bruises lasted for weeks. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
