    I think the matches picked are probably right, seem to be based on the difference in league position.

    It does p*ss me off when we get to the third round though and you'll have something like Tottenham v Chelsea shown live, ie a game that has happened at least twice a year since the dawn of time but for some reason ends up being shown live at the expense of some far more interesting games. Really hope the BBC change this policy, you can kind of understand a commercial TV station wanting to maximise viewers, but this shouldn't be the priority for the BBC.

    It definitely is, but I doubt the people at the BBC who make these decisions even give it much of a thought when it's just (in their eyes) one insignificant northern town against another insignificant northern town.

    Apologies for the late reply. That is of course, utter nonsense, jedstar. Halifax-Bradford is a tie between a relatively recent football league club and another football league club. Local derby yes, and should be a good game, but even BT didn't make it their first pick. Warrington are one of the lowest ranked teams left in the competition, from the 8th tier of football and have NEVER been in the first round before. So we actually give it lots of thought.
