What did you expect? It's only "little old Barnsley".

I still don't think the Police should be involved, but I'm amazed that the FA have bottled it.
In what way is the "challenge" any different to Ben Thatchers?

Do you think the FA are a bit scared?
If they condemn the incident & ban Morgan - then maybe that would be seen as further evidence of guilt in any civil action?

In a bizarre way - you have to admire Chris Morgan.
I, for one, wouldn't be strong enough to play football every week after what I'd done.

Ridiculous decision.

I believe it's the FA disciplinary committee

I have no idea who sits on this panel.

Is it possible that if the F.A took action then

that would prevent the club or the player taking his own action ??? Any lawyers on here ? I only ask because years ago I knew of a case where a Chief Constable would not prosecute in a criminal case where a PC got killed in a RTA in case that case prejudiced any CIVIL case for damages the family might wish to make...

Re: Cant the club raise it ith FIFA then?

Hope the club make a massive stink about it, little club suffers again, if this had been a Man Utd or Chelsea player it would have been oh so different.

Stinks. I'm disgusted. What will Hume think about? I'd be straight to the PFA see what they are prepared to do.

I'd hazard a gues

At a collection of 'administrators' from County FA's etc. A more incompetent self satisfied self serving bunch of weak minded spineless ***** you could not hope to meet.

dreadful decision but I can't say I'm surprised. I think if they'd been serious about doing something they would have taken immediate action.

Everytime I see it on TV can't believe what morgan did and I'm now starting to question the evidence of my own eyes.

wonder what D'urso has had to say on the matter

I think now that it will definietely be taken to the courts

I think it's made up of:

Kenny, McCabe, McCall, Warnock & Littlejohn.

It must be made up of people in suits who have never played football.
If there are any ex-players on there - they should be ashamed of themselves.

The FA should be shut down & their "services" tendered out.

Absolute ballax.

The criteria is quite simply

"computer says no"

There is a directive from FIFA that video evidence shouldnt be used after games to change referees decisions

The FA are already in trouble with FIFA for downgrading red cards when there is a clear refereeing error.

I think the argument goes along the lines that as technology isnt availlable for everone it shouldnt be used for anyone

The problem though is its one thing to not use video evidence to change decisions which affect the result of a match Penalties Offsides goals etc

Its quite a different when crimes are comitted on the field of play.

Its also a rule which is only applied when they think they can get away with it.

Ben Thatcher in a premiership game on MotD they found a way round it (although aided by Stuart Pearce and Dermot Gallagher)

This is only Barnsley though not worth upsetting Fifa for that.

Wonder if Joey Barton had done that on Steven Gerrard or Wayne Rooney the outcome would have been the same...

Gary Willard, I kid you not

Not sure if he's still on it but he was definetly part of the committee chosen to decide what is and isnt a red card

Its on yellow bar on SSN at present.

They have read out both statements from FA and from Barnsley.

Bunch of corrupt, bent, short sighted fusty old faggots who still live in 1873.

Should be shot, hung, drawn, quartered, shot again for good measure and then laughed at.

Basically, I'm not very pleased with them.

I believe

That if D'Urso had admitted he'd made a mistake in that the 'challenge' was much worse than he originally realised then the FA could have taken action. That is what happened with the Ben Thatcher case. On viewing a video of the Thatcher challenge the referee stated that had he seen it properly he would have given Thatcher a red card.

So I guess D'Urso is of the opinion that the initial yellow card was the correct course of action.

The problem is you need to get them near a football pitch to do that without serving a life sentence

No chance of getting em anywhere near the field of play

What an absolute ******* disgrace.

Very sad day for football in this country. Shame on the spineless, incompetent ***** at the FA for this so-called decision. More cowardly than Morgan. Hang your heads you utter, utter cnuts.
