Some excellent stats there. Just shows that whilst we are not running away with the league by any means, we are doing very well. Just need to convert a few more chances and we'll be laughing. Hopefully Woodrow can take some of that burden when he is fit.
We have loads of shots and a significant proportion of them go in. We allow very few shots against us, and only a few of those go in. We've only lost 1 game. Not much to moan about then?
I love a good old stat. So what are we thinking for Peterborough then? Surely they can’t keep being this clinical all season and you’d expect them to drop off? Hopefully we can keep our stats up and become a little bit more clinical too, maybe Woodrow up front next to Moore when he recovers could help with that.
Interesting. Shows that clinical strikers are the key, otherwise Pompey & Peterbro' wouldn't be doing so well.
Out of all the teams I would love us to absolutely hammer this season my first choice has to be Peterborough. Complete knob of an owner. I'm guessing GG probably feels the same!
It's also about where the goals we concede happen to fall. We've conceded few but a lot of them have counted in terms of affecting the result.
Couldn’t agree more. At the minute they’re a promotion rival, that whole business when we relegated them by “cheating” against Huddersfield but they failed to get a result and, as you say, their owner being an idiot. It would be incredibly sweet if we could hammer them.
These charts are encouraging to say the least. It will be interesting to see them at the end of the season in comparison with the most important one, the final league table
Yeah I was thinking that, hopefully the charts will be updated semi regularly so we can keep track as the season goes on. You’d hope those stats represent the final league table but I guess sometimes football doesn’t always go with the stats.
Its all about sticking the ball in the net simple as. Not to label the point.. but we did let a striker go. While the replacement hasn't kicked a ball. Bad luck or poor management... I'd say a bit of both.
