He certainly apologised last night. More than once.

    Point taken

But it does work both ways you know. I've had some excellent, pleasant experiences at the box office (well one or two!). Sometimes though the behaviour of staff is inexplicable and extremely unhelpful. I might be a contentious beggar on here at times but I know how to behave in public. Some staff in there don't at times.

Easy to do when confronted by angry supporters and you have no answers to their questions. Much harder to do off your own back when they aren't in front of you.

But what about the Colchester ticket scam? You must have missed my secondary post last night!

    To be fair

My only poor experiences with the ticket office staff came before Administration. Some of the attitude given out (maybe because the club was doing better then and supporters were plentiful ? ) was crap.

Since then however, I've never had cause to complain - whether I'm lucky or not i don't know.

Some of the 'blokes' I've seen kicking off at the staff would be more than keen to **** someone for speaking to their wife/girlfriend/sister etc in the same manner.

If Sharon is who I think it is...

(early forties, blonde hair) she inflames a lot of situations with her manner and the way she talks to people.

That's the one. If someone talks to her in an offensive manner, she is only human and so not likely to talk the same back. She does a difficult job and seems to get little thanks.

    No he didn't

and even if he does now, an apology is simply not good enough to erase such gross incompetence.

I had a problem with my ST renewal in 2006

... the office was packed. When I first asked some questions she was really stroppy. When I followed up in a polite manner her attitude changed completely and she was excetionally nice and couldn't have helped me more. Listening to the way some of the other fans were behaving towards the staff it was no wonder the staff's defences were up.
