You've completely lost me. Wakefield council, wakefield for voting, covered by West Yorks Police and Wakefield for NHS services including seconday care, classed as being in West Yorkshire.... but its Barnsley? Ok.
Aye but just checked and he’s actually moved back to Baghdad because he didn’t feel safe living in Barnsley

Wooley village (where Boycott used to live is under wakey) When i was a lad however wooley for me wasn't actually that wooley. Wooley was the area where the pit was and where the football/cricket teams were based. We used to go to the wooley pub which was only a shortish walk up the road from darton or mapp. This area is barnsley. So i can see the confusion to be fair: 2 wooley's.
I lived at the top end of Worsbrough Dale when Scargill had his bungalow. His daughter Margaret was in my year at high school and shared some of the lessons. Talk about famous. True story - early 80's me and some mates went on holiday to Corfu. Going through the Greek passport checks, the bloke takes my passport and has a look, then says, "Aaaah.... Barnsleeee" then sticks a clenched fist in the air and at the top of his voice shouts "ARTHUR SCARGEEEL!" And that was before the miners strike!
That lass that comes on Telly talking about ancient Egypt . Joseph Locke himself who in some quarters is regarded with the likes of Brunell.
Greenhoff brothers. Mark Jones. Agnew. Macca. Hirsty. Mick speight. Roy kilner. Goughy numerous footballers and cricketers too many to mention. Formed in Barnsley. Some from Sheffield/Mexbro and west Yorkshire.
I'll be honest I thought you were making this up but I've just driven up Neville Ave and saw Michelle hanging the washing out
