I’m questioning the definition of the word/term :‘supporter’? Know what I mean, Kev? What exactly do people think they signed up for, when they chose Barnsley? & that’s not me being negative, of course I get upset, when we’re on a crap run. But I think they’re all world beaters. I don’t have any choice. I fell in love, a longtime ago..
I'll never understand why public figures would go on Twitter and subject themselves to all that hatred. It seems to me to be a platform that solely exists to allow bigots to shout hatred directly at folk in the public eye. Absolutely awful. As an aside, imagine calling someone a c word and then crying when they took some sort of retributive action. Sounds like just the sort of absolute fanny that populates Twitter
I'll never be stopped from having an opinion. I'll never stop sharing opinions that challenge the Club either, and sharing those opinions will never get me banned from the Club. But that's because I know the difference between sharing my opinions respectfully, and personally abusing people on social media. Time and again, people think that 'free speech' means having the right to say literally anything you want, without consequence. It doesn't. If I ran a shop, and I found one of my customers personally abusing me on social media, the next time they came into my shop I'd tell them they weren't welcome. I imagine most people would do the same. That's not me saying they're not entitled to an opinion. That's me saying 'you can say whatever you want pal, but after the abuse you've given me, you're not coming back in my shop'. BTW, I still don't know what this chap has said to get banned, and I still don't have an opinion on whether I think his ban is right or wrong. I don't think anyone else does either.
TBF, as JAQ is an Australian the C-Bomb is almost a term of endearment. But saying that, to hit the tolerance limits for an Aussie takes some doing...
