Mate, I'll be honest, I think a lot of the stick you get on here is very unfair, and you often make some interesting points. However, when you come out with stuff like this you don't do yourself any favours at all!
game of 2 halves basically, we started out on fire then dropped off Fletcher just wasnt in the game in the first half, I think the booing was about the ref not the team, second half was a bit better Fletcher was a totally different bloke compared to the first 45. A win is a win no matter how we get it, remember at christmas we didnt know where that was going to come from, once we scored the first whether scrappy, a tap in or whatever I always thought we would get more and that included a disallowed one from Fletcher funnily enough for offside, 2 hard games coming up and it will probably dictate where our season is going. Really fancy chances on Tuesday night and Saturday too, payback can be a bit ch
I was at the match yesterday. I wasn't unhappy with Winnall at all. Neither were any of my friends. No one around us was giving him stick. Maybe we went to different games? Or maybe it's that I don't have an agenda. Collectively we didn't play very well first half and Crewe were the better team. Second half we played some great football, dominated possession and the game and deservedly won the match. At no point was I edgy or frustrated, I wasn't unhappy with any of our players and none of them got any stick. We won away from home. That, for me, and everyone within ear shot of me at the game, is ****ing brilliant. I hope you learn to enjoy such days the way I do because I can tell you from 35+ years of experience, they're all too rare.
Any away win is brilliant. And if (unlike yesterday) you play **** and still win it's even better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So let me get this straight: Scoring goals isn't an attribute of a striker. Keeping clean sheets isn't important for a defender. Shot-stopping isn't important for a goalkeeper (kicking is top of the list). Silly old me thought that the only way to win a game of football was to score more goals than the other team. I must have been getting it wrong all this time.
Are you sure about that...? Think carefully, we've won every game since I got my season ticket (I did almost reference the girls at matches thing in my post too ).
talking about girls going to matches. What abart Tuesday? I think I can manage another one. this season.
Just watched the 11 minute highlight package on Player and Winnall looked very good to me. Some wonderful close control, lay offs, a goal, forced a save out of the keeper, and more. If that's him being 'off it' as others suggest he was (again) then I hope he's off it on Tuesday too.
His England dream team has Heskey up front, Phil Jones in defence and Jonny Wilkinson between the sticks.
Glad you realised the error of your ways. Everyone knows the most important attributes for a player are as follows: 1. Born after 1992. 2. Spent time on the books of a top 4 club as a kid even if they never kicked a ball competitively. 3. Not German.
Just spent a pleasant half hour chuckling my way through this thread. Cheers guys. ☺ "This post is about the fans" he says, before disecting most of the teams weaknesses. Scoring, eh? Bloody awful habit that's crept into our game. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
