    Wasted on me that.

    I do know what you mean, but most of the faults Davey had last season, that you pointed out, weren't evident on Saturday. But it's very early days, and we could get stuffed 4-0 again by Coventry

    Because if he doesnt get sacked during the season i'll still be wanting him sacked during the summer!!!

    He's had 3 seasons in the job to prove himself & has failed

    So because we have struggled for the last 3 years, there is absolutely nothing at all he can do to turn it round. Mid table? Play offs? Automatic promotion? Nothing at all?

    So in conclusion *

    Mid table, with no looking over our shoulders at back end of season, and a few decent performances along the way.</p>

    Not particularly hard, or earth shattering. And all the talk of connecting with the fans, being media friendly is irrelevant when the team is doing ok.</p>

    * Not counting Eaststand Lower who says Davey out even if we run away with the league!</p>

    Also, re bassett, we are hardly Newcastle thinking we are a big team. Mid table and something to build on is good enough for now.

    A season of mid table mediocrity

    No involvement in any relegation dogfight and playing football that's easy on the eye would do me just fine. If we were to meet those achieveable objectives, I'd be very happy. I don't rate him as a manager (that's no secret), but if Barnsley were to progress under Mr Davey, then that's far more important than my ego and/or a need to be proved right. Success for our club is all that matters.
