Wouldn't a hard border with Scotland solve the NI Irish Sea border problem? All the delays would be at the Scotland border with free movement across the Irish Sea from Stranraer.

I find I have to read a lot of the posts here twice, because a lot of the time, as above, people say Ireland and it's genuinely confusing to me till I go back and replace it with N.I. But then sometimes they're actually talking a bout Ireland....I can't win!:)

Looking at the idea of Scottish independence in a completely realistic and objective view following the previous referendum for Scottish Independence, which was for the Union, and then followed with the farce of brexit i find it strange that anyone would even consider attempting to separate a solid union of 400 years when we have spent billions on divorcing the UK from a 40 year loosely tied coalition of widely different thinking peoples.

I personally feel that the UK is stronger as a whole and that the demands for Scottish Independence are currently driven by issues driven by the London centric Westminster political elite that are actually creating the same feelings of not being listened to, ruled by people who don't care and for the benefit of a small few who see themselves as above the majority. The people of Wales, NI, Cornwall, Yorkshire and other regions all have the same concerns as the ones stated by the Scottish independence advocates.

My hope is that we can see something/someone/a new movement/whatever that can quickly raise and more importantly address these issues for all the UK and make changes before any new Scottish independence vote creates another opportunity to further diminish the country
