I think you are getting confused

with whether people are spongers for claiming what they are entitled to

to a completely different issue of whether the entitlement should exist.

Whilst ar lass was entitled to it given the high threshold, she didn't apply for it.

    **** off you ******.....

I have paid into the system for years, my partner has, sister and dad...

and when either of them was out of work through no fault of their own, they weren't given ANYTHING....

We have just had a baby in the last 2 weeks, and I for one WILL be claiming ANYTHING i can get. I am sick to death of all the spongers who clearly can't be arsed to fecking work and claim everything(and get it), whereas me and my partner will get **** all apart from this "benefit" because I work, and will be penalised because we have made the decision to bring up our own kid and not send her back to work just to pay someone else to bring him up....

Don't even get me started on the foreign ******* who get benefits for children who don't even live here either!!!!

You really ought to get some brains lad, the whole system is feckin wrong.... and you are bang out of order with that comment!

    I can afford it dicksplash!

my point is why shouldn't I claim it when as you so put it all the glory spongers are getting things left right and centre...

I am sick to death of getting taxed to the hilt, and not being entlitled to anything when it is needed. this is the first thing I have been able to claim in my life, and I feckin WILL!

EIther way what the **** have my earnings have got to do with you I don't know!

BTW, I notice your location states "hemsworth", guess what I was born there, and that place has the biggest dole queue in yorkshire, and half of them are on drugs..

Ease up on the Hemsworth bashing.

It does have its problems but no need to kick it whilst it tries to smarten itself up.

Some people deserve it, others dont.

Employers should be consulted before any family tax credit is paid to stop people that are deliberatly only working part time because they know that their wages will be topped up by credit. I know a few people myself that are doing that exactl thing, they are offered more hours but turn them down because the government pays them 'overtime' anyway to work part time.

    He is right though

about the threshold being too high.

People in full time employment or in part time where no full time employment is available to them should get credit if they need it (ie they dont earn much) but when they earn a lot of money then they dont need it at all.

    Hang on a minute

Aren't family tax credits the mechanism the government uses to incentivise working when compared with a life on state benefits?

By seeking to marginalise those who would claim it, all you do is help make a life of benefits seem MORE attractive than working for a living?

Is that your intention, or are you just a ****?

Obviously you don't have kids. The price of after school care and child care is incredible - I have 5 year old twins and it cost us £15 a night to have them looked after - that's £240 a month. we both work and we receve £29 a month to help us pay the fees. You can see why some people stay at home!
