One guy near us was thrown out for racist abuse Well done the Stewards on that one - didnt see owt else myself
RE: E88 I as in G149 on the lefthand edge of the 6 yard box, were they ones with the Flags in front of them?
Did you go to any of the Pubs in Shepherds Bush before the game?
We was in a rather flash one £4+ a pint !!

No I was in the Prince Albert in Notting Hill with the London Tykes Burgandy Thrappo and Lampy et al - Beer much cheaper - you could get 3 pints and still 10p change out of a tenner S)
Not strictly true They had bitter just not someone who knew how to change the barrel - thats a first for me Occasionally been in pubs that ran out or had to wait for it to settle - but never one where no one knew how to change it Shame we didnt meet up - might even have been on the same train
I got the 11-15 from Alton. Seeing another one of your postings I think you must have been sitting just in front of me at the ground. Another time eh?
RE: No I was in the Prince Albert in Notting Hill Did I speak to you mate?
Met so many people yesterday without knowing who a lot were.
Had a good day though (all except the game obviously!)

Did you mean Turvey rather than Thrappo? Didn't realise Thrappo was one of the ones there. Shame, would have been nice to meet another of the Northants-based tykes. Good to meet Lampy yesterday. Essential, in fact, as neither Turvey nor myself would have been driving home from the train station . . .
A bad one that most wont have seen or remember - Andy Kiwomya Away at Grimsby mid 80s. We had lost our first half a dozen or so games on the bounce. Stuart Gray scored with a backheel and in the second half Andy Kiwomya had the chance to finish them off. Half a yard out woth an open goal he somehow managed to blaze it over the crossbar. Does anyone else remember it?
RE: Did you mean Turvey rather than Thrappo? Aye I was in the Prince Albert along with Northampton Tyke and his girlfriend, met a lot of the London Tykes that I hadn't met before. I had a hat on all day (As Freya always mentions!).
I think I need to get 'Thrappo' on my shirt

Not sure I noticed anyone with a lot of hair! Who were you with?
You probably would've seen me, but not known it was me. Hicksy pointed out a lot to me, but I'm not sure if you were there by then

RE: Not sure I noticed anyone with a lot of hair! Was with Turvey, Lampy and Owen. Sat in the corner from 12-1, then mingled a bit (as you do) and chatted to Farnham, Loko (the real one as well as one of the stunt-doubles - mental note not to point people out in future without my glasses on), Allan, Chris, Harrow (briefly), Pilley (I think). Others I didn't know who or who are now lost in a post-Guinness haze. Had a great time and got to my seat just in time for kick-off.
RE: Not sure I noticed anyone with a lot of hair! I think I did see you actually...we were sat (at first) at a table near where all you were. Then hicksy came over for a bit then we went and chatted to Loko...all those clones were confusing until I realised they were American/Aussie....great to see others going!
RE: Any trouble yestdi as I heard five 0 travelled in force Yes some lads from the rowdier end travelled yesterday from Donny, but I was on the train with a few of them and they kept themselves to themselves. We had a couple of beers before the match before 'Old Bill' started picking out people, I got lifted for apparently causing damage in the Aus' bar toilets, I could not believe it, until one of the coppers came out of the toilet and said he could see no damage, it was just the landlord trying to get us ejected!!! A big up to the Inspector who came and told the landlord to grow up, we even said once we finished our drinks we'd leave, the inspector said that was fine. We walked about a mile to the ground before me and my youngest lad were told we couldn't enter the ground because we were drunk, I ask you? The old faithful came into play when I protested and showed we had already purchased tickets, the coppers just kept saying I had alcohol on my breath, well done to the London coppers they spoilt a good day out except for the result. By the way, I gave my tickets to two young lads who hadn't got any, then went and sat in the 'Marine' pub near to the ground, where the same coppers tried to arrest my youngest for being disorderly because he was on the phone to his girlfriend outside the pub as it was the only place he could hear??? It's about time the coppers stopped trying to aggrevate people by antagonising them, if you've nothing better to do on a Saturday, stay at the station and polish your helmets..........P-L-E-A-S-E!!! U mighty REDS
Especially when you walked up to a police van And slurred "where do away fans go to get in " to the plod behind the wheel
Ooops - yes I did Thrappo and Turvey both begin with T and are from Northampton - cant expect me to remember which was which
