    i agree mate, i dont think there are many better ball players than him in the championship, his ability will show through in that league next season if he stays and if we can get a ball winner to play with him to add some steel, wouldnt be very confident with him and howard in the middle of the park in that league.

    how big do you think our budget will be over the summer, d'yer reckon paddy cryne will get his hand in his pocket. be nice to give ritchie at least 500k to spend

    Has anyone considered

    whether this is all part of a negotiation to get the best contract he can out of Barnsley. Not sure it will work mind but he is going to be taking a hefty pay cut no matter where he goes - doesnt his Leeds contract end this year? If the stories of 20K a week are true - no one will pay that sort of money to him next season, but he is probably trying to get the best deal he can
