Attendances make interesting reading Presumably Achilles killing Hector got the highest attendance (22,410) as it was at the end of the season, whereas by then the Thracians had nothing to play for. Did the winners make it into Europe? I'm not much good at history, either. Or literature. Or anything, really.
The Trojans all got banned from Europe. It's detailed in the Odyssey how they got relegated, booted out of European competition & had loads of points deducted. The Aeneid chronicles how, after appeal, they were allowed back into Europe & had most of their points given back ... even though they were proven to be cheating feckers. The story ends with the robbing tw4ts beating the Scousers somewhere in Greece, or summat. I think it's all just makey uppy.
RE: The Trojans all got banned from Europe. Was the ground capacity reduced when Troy became Hisarlik ( similar to when Heysel was re named ) ?
