It was never about asylum seekers, it was always out and out racism. Why was there no outcry about Ukraine refugees coming here? Oh they were white.

There's a few things I know about Farage. One of them is he's not stupid. His incitement isn't a mistake. It's not people misunderstanding him. Everything he says and does is very carefully calculated.

I get your point Whitey, and I agree with the sentiments. This case, reported in The Guardian today offers some encouragement:

On Tuesday, Jordan Parlour became the first person to be convicted of stirring up racial hatred during the riots after posting messages on Facebook about attacking a hotel housing asylum seekers.

The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to using threatening words or behaviour to stir up racial hatred after making comments advocating an attack on a hotel in Leeds. He has been remanded in custody ahead of his sentencing on Friday.

It will be a matter for the Police and CPS in individual cases as to whether messages posted are able to constitute the crime of stirring up racial hatred. Politicians can't interfere, although they can encourage the Police to use all of their powers. I think an outright ban of certain platforms would require further legislation. Labour should have the majority to carry that, but it might be controversial in terms of the implications for free speech. Like you, I hope Farage and Yaxley-Lennon can be held to account for their inflammatory bile. The latter is already pending likely jail time for contempt of court when he returns to this country. Let's hope it's a good long stretch.

I've heard some people say that Mr Farage is a rabble-rousing instigator of riots...

Some people might ask whether Coutts was right to close his account...

I'm not certain, but I've read on the Internet that Mr Farage and Mr Yaxley-Lennon regularly attend male-only coke-fueled orgies...

With all his media appearances recently, doesn't he look tired?

That's some trio you've posted there!

It's your choice, of course, but I'm not sure posting messages and videos from these vile human beings is a good thing. Whether intended or unwittingly, it's giving them oxygen and spreading their words. Also anyone clicking into it will just add to the online weight of these people.

I'd have thought there was enough out there to lock Farage up, might not be this week, but within the next 6 months.
He's been taken apart twice on LBC, surely some half decent detectives and barristers could put him away.

Seeing the mask slip on Swarbrick called him a liar is something everyone needs to see. The composed front disappeared and the brattish schoolchild who knows he”s in trouble peeked out.
