RE: do they come from a council estate? been born and bred on a council esaste and still live thier now, nothing wrong with it, as someone said before me, alot of people who do come from council esastes gone on to live very good lives, its all about the parenting that you receive, fact is my mother wasnt born with a spoon in her mouth and shes worked in dead end jobs just to support the family all her life doesnt mean that i and everyone else that originates from a council estate grows up to be drug dealing absos
"could have just so easily come from a middle class background".</p> Come on, you don't really think that do you?</p>
Rubbish.</p> http://www.brook.org.uk/content/M6_4_teenage%20pregnancy.asp</p> "Poverty is a key risk factor for teenage pregnancy. Girls whose families are in social class V (unskilled manual) are ten times more likely to become teenage mothers than girls from professional backgrounds. They are also far less likely to have an abortion if they do become pregnant."</p>
Why not? Just because they have money doesn't make them intelligent, they could also be rebellious and go against things their parents say, all sorts of possibilities really.
seen it with my own eyes, i used to have the priviligde of teaching 'chav's so to speak, and there were as many if not more dispondant feckwits from decent areas and backgrounds as there were council house kids. Infact, the only parents to take an interest were those from the estates. I do agree with you that poverty has implications on this, so does parenting issues.
"They are also far less likely to have an abortion if they do become pregnant." So kids from 'unskilled manual' families are far less likely to have an abortion? Could that be interpreted that kids from professional backgrounds still get pregnant underage but just have terminations?
he looks about 8 not 13. Can't help thinking if the ages were reversed and he were the older partner there would be uproar, he'd be arrested as a paedophile and soon to be signing a register for the next 10 years. Details from the soaraway Sun............ http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2233878.ece So she comes from a family of 6 kids living the benefits lifestyle, and his dad is separated from the family and has 9 kids. How am I not surprised, guess we're all paying for another chav generation. Hopefully the money they got for proudly telling their story will go on nursery stuff and nappies and not a PS3 and Special Brew.
RE: "They are also far less likely to have an abortion if they do become pregnant." I hear what you're saying - middle class mothers paying to get rid of the shame of a teenage daughter's pregnancy -but I doubt that would counterbalance the overwhelming10-1 statistic sufficiently. Maybe you can find evidence to the contrary.</p> Anyway, seeing as I might have offended you with this thread, Idefinitely think that there is still a noble working class out there. My Grandfather lived in a council house all his life and a more (naively) honest man I've yet to meet. But those were different times, and I'm not talking about the traditional working class here. I think there is a group of people in this country who have grown up in a culture of benefits and dependency who know nothing of the war years, and unfortunately they inhabit council estates alongside real working class people. So when I made my comment about the origins of these children, this is what I was thinking of.</p>
Just like the Karen Matthews case when it was bleedin obvious from the start that summat was dodgy about the whole story, who else gets a funny feelin about this one? More to it than reported I reckon, he looks about 8, what chance she was she the baby sitter and his dad had a pop and the kids taking the credit to get some money from the Sun? You heard it here.......mark miwurdz.
hmmm you know what i said that to my missus, give it a month or so and it'll all come out cos like i said there is no way he is the father, i bet he thinks you get pregnant by kissing someone..
thing is the dad of that 12 year old runt will be bragging in the pub, look at ar kid can fill a pram at 11.
looking at the photo in the paper it looks the kid could be going missing when she gets to about 8 years old only to be found under a bed 30 days latter in west yorkshire the 15 years old mother as to be one of Karen Matthews kids that got away its a dead ringer
Rise of an underclass That survive by scrounging or thieving their way through life. Or, as is increasingly common, selling the story of their cretinous ways to the tabloids. Someone needs to sort it out. Got any ideas?
Didn't take long for this to emerge http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21/20090215/tuk-boy-13-may-not-be-baby-s-father-6323e80.html
