..but just look around some areas, there's thousands of people with nothing better to look forward to than their next fix/drink/fight, whatever.

in fairer society that people actually felt they have a stake in, don't you think that maybe just maybe people would would take more of an interest in their neighbourhoods, get to know pwople rather than rushing off to the rat race, or more likely getting crushed under foot by it?

you'll always get lazy bar stewards and scumbags, but in a fairer society would we have so many families living on the dole, no one earning money, and neglecting their kids' well being?

i'm not having a go at the families involved, i don't know them, but it happens all over.
