Newcastle for me. I like to have a few pre and post match beers, and location wise it’s the only one that rivals us for me. Great away day, particularly the one where they won the league against us that season, the noise was incredible. Minus the result for us obviously. For a particular game, id go with the Huddersfield one where we stayed up, or the Wigan 4-1.
Any London trip is good. Fulham probably the best. For overall experience and a welcome for the away fans, Accrington wins hands down.
Fulham for me, train to London, walk to the ground along the Thames. Good snap. Day out only spoiled by the football.
I've really enjoyed going to Cheltenham the last couple of seasons. Lovely place, old school ramshackle ground and some great pubs - probably helped by us winning both times. As much as I'd love to see us promoted again, L1 definitely has nicer places to visit than the championship - Lincoln, Shrewsbury, Exeter and the like. Struggling to pick a favourite ever away game but smashing the champions Wigan in the blazing sunshine in 2016 to guarantee a play off spot takes some beating.
Blackpool, Morecambe and Accy for local games, further afield used to enjoy Shrewsbury o the train.....
Only been once but I'd go Lincoln. It's not far from where I live now and it's where I went to uni so always nice going back there to all bars and pubs I used to drink in.
Liverpool, the win in the Prem was unbelievable only topped by the FA Cup win in 2008. Palace in the Prem was a brilliant day out, glorious hot afternoon out in the West end, a couple of pints with George Best and a screamer from Redders.
