I don't miss any of those old establishments

I spent a lot of time in The Manx & The Old Pavillion, but generally speaking pubs in town are not the best. The Wellington Street area is as bad as ever - maybe worse!

Only Blah Blah; Lucorum; Thomas Brammer and Walkabout have made any sort of effort to break the mould. Durty O'Dwyers is OK, but they need to do something about those toilets!

When the smoking ban finally comes in, I'll have even less cause to look back with any fondess ...

Barnsley town centre is a Ghetto?

things are looking up a bit now though. New bus station is great compared with before. Few new pubs have opened over last year Bramah's and Rileys snooker club. But will the town centre get worse when the smoking ban kicks in and the boozers go art of business?

Always found him to be a gentleman and to say it was a town centre pub we always got a couple of free drinks at Christmas.

Always thought that was urban myth. You know? Like the girl who left a turd on the "friend of a friend" for cheating on her and lager that isn't watered down?
